Which 2019 GMC Acadia Is Right for You?

The 2019 GMC Acadia may look like your typical SUV, but it’s so much more.

It has a ton of cargo space for families and enough room for up to seven passengers. It can get confusing with all the trims, but we’re helping you figure out which GMC Acadia is right for you. As a side note, the Acadia comes in both front- and all-wheel-drive. For this article, we’ll be using the pricing from the FWD options. If opting for AWD, expect to pay an additional surcharge on top of the listed MSRP.

SL

The 2019 GMC Acadia SL is ideal for a family on a budget since the starting MSRP is $30,195. For this price, you get plenty of features, including keyless open and start, automatic climate control, humidity sensor, a six-speaker audio system, and a seven-inch infotainment system. Parents may also be happy to know that the Acadia SL also comes with OnStar Basic for five years, which includes advanced diagnostics and dealer maintenance notification.

SLE-1

The GMC Acadia SLE trims are broken into two different models to help customers save money on features that they may not want. The Acadia SLE-1 starts at $34,490 and has everything the SL has, plus a few other great features. This trim comes with daytime running lamps to increase visibility so your vehicle will be even safer on the road. For those who travel often, this trim also includes a spare tire, which may be useful in a pinch. Finally, it also comes with Sirius XM radio for more entertainment options.

SLE-2

The GMC Acadia SLE-2 is where many of the upgrades happen. This trim starts at $36,890 and allows for more customization. The standard SLE-2 has everything the SLE-1 has and more, including a power programmable liftgate, fog lamps, silver roof rails, and remote start. What makes the SLE-2 a valuable addition to your family is that you have the option to add nearly any feature found in the GMC line up for an additional cost. These add-ons include Bose speakers, tablet holders, rear seat entertainment systems, and molded assist steps.

SLT-1

The 2019 GMC Acadia SLT-1 allows for premium entertainment, which could make a long drive more enjoyable. One of the highlights of the SLT-1 is a Bose premium eight-speaker entertainment system. You can choose what you want to listen to using the upgraded eight-inch infotainment system. What makes the SLT-1 shine is the Driver Alert Package 1, which adds Side Blind Zone Alert with Lane Change Alert, Rear Cross-Traffic Alert, and Rear Park Assist. The SLT-1 has a starting MSRP of $39,690.

SLT-2

The GMC Acadia SLT-2 starts at $43,590 and is designed for those people who need more power from their SUV. It comes standard with a 3.6-liter V6 SIDI DOHC engine with Variable Valve Timing, producing 310 horsepower and 271 lb-ft of torque.  In addition to the stronger engine, it also comes with Driver Alert Package 2. This package features Low-Speed Forward Automatic Braking, Front Pedestrian Detection and Braking, and IntelliBeam headlamps. Additionally, there is also front and rear park assist, following distance indicator, forward collision alerts, and safety alert driver seat. Overall, this makes the SLT-2 perfect for a teen driver or a driver who wants to keep all passengers safe.

Denali

Every manufacturer has a trim that is the best-of-the-best. The Denali level is just that for GMC vehicles. The Denali trim is the epitome of GMC engineering because it has power, entertainment, and comfort features that will make you search for reasons to drive. This trim comes with the same powerful 3.6-liter engine as the SLT-2, as well as the Driver Alert Package II. In addition to that, it also has a heated leather steering wheel with controls, an eight-inch enhanced driver information screen, and power tilt and telescopic steering column for ultimate comfort. You can purchase a 2019 GMC Acadia Denali for a starting MSRP of $47,190.
